Patterns

I took these pictures for the PhotoFriday challenge “Patterns“. The images focus on the grain of a dresser made from reclaimed antique oak. I thought this was appropriate for the theme because of the natural lines and patterns of the oak grain against the man made patterns of aging that has taken place over the years.

Shot in available light, i.e. in almost complete darkness using a tripod, a long exposure and 50mm Macro lens. The RAW files were then adjusted using Photoshop CS?s RAW plugin where exposure, contrast, shadow and vignetting were adjusted.
