
I struggled with this image. When I first took it and viewed it on the camera I liked it, when I saw it on a bigger screen I didn’t, now I’ve processed it I like it again.
I think the issue is the unconventional composition with such a large area of sky in the centre. Through the camera the composition felt right with the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) running along the bottom of the frame. After processing I think the sky holds its own and looks less like a simple empty area. Comments welcome.
Oh yes, for those that are interested, this is West India Quay in the Docklands area of London. The same location as yesterdays shot.
