Danger Underground

There are certain things that fisheye lenses excel at… in my opinion here is a good example. They allow you to focus on a subject — in this case the Danger No Entry “tape” in the foreground — and include the surroundings to give a wider context and bring further interest into the picture. For me in these situations the distortion adds to the atmosphere and drama of situation and subject(s). Of course a fisheye lens can be used solely to get a distorted viewpoint of an otherwise relatively mundane subject. I wouldn’t say that was true of this shot but for tomorrow’s one that definitely applies. Stay tuned 🙂
