A Story Often Lost

A shot taken in Bautzen, a small town on the River Spree situated about 50 km (31 mi) east of Dresden, Germany. As with many of these relatively small eastern towns in what was East Germany, they are fairly untouched and have been until the last 20 years (or less) been fairly neglected which results in, today, a very friendly mix of original architecture/buildings, quaint and beautiful facades and town centre squares with traditional and authentic events. As a result the beauty of authentic decay and patina can be easily found, this is a detail of the many door fronts that can be found.
