Where Kings Once Rode

This wonderful view is from the old town of Dresden. It not so often seen from photographers because over my right shoulder is a hotel and this street is always full with cars, coaches, sellers and tourists, however at 5:30am it looks like this. The spire in the background is the Dresdner Residenzschloss, Dresden Castle or Royal Palace in front of that is the “mural” created from tiles is called the “Procession of Princes”, a length of 102 metres (335 ft) long !! it is the largest porcelain artwork in the world. This mural is on the side of the Stallhof or stables and “jousting” arena which is the oldest complete example in the world.
