This picture was taken during an afternoon of fooling around where I was teaching Tom to scratch on a turntable (hence the headphones) and take pictures. Holding a DSLR is not easy for a four year old but leaving it on the tripod helped him out a lot. He was very interested in taking pictures and this was the first time I let him loose on his own after minimal supervision. I left him completely to his own devices, the camera on full auto switching between timer and normal modes. He took great pleasure in pressing the shutter watching the timer bulb flash taking his picture and running back around the other side of the camera to see how it came out. Some interesting results ;-)
In fact this picture was not taken by me it was taken by Tom using the timer. My contribution was the colour conversion and the crop, both of which are often as important as the image itself.
