This image is of an abandoned warehouse where wild flowers have taken a hold and grown all over the surrounding security fences softening the otherwise harsh industrial scene.
The colourisation in this image is taken directly from the 20D which allows black and white and coloured filters to be applied "in-camera". No other post processing/conversions were applied to this image it is as it came out of the camera. I think the tone and contrast of the black and white image is really quite nice.
An interesting thing about these effects is they can be removed or applied when post processing the images in RAW mode when using the Canon supplied RAW software. However, the otherwise superior Adobe Photoshop CS RAW plug-in doesn?t officially support 20D RAW files (.CR2) and ignores any "in-camera" effects showing the image in colour, which is slightly disorientating at first.
